# How to create a shop

## A "shop" is emdecs one's name for a location where one or more technicians do work. As well as actual repair locations with a street address, you can also have shops like mobile repair trucks. One or more technicians are then assigned to the shop or shops where they do work. You can also create separate parts inventory warehouses and attach them to each shop if you'd like to track their inventory separately.

Who is this article for? Super Admins using **emdecs one**'s web client.

Begin by selecting the **Shops** item from the left-hand menu bar. This will show you a list of all the shops that have already been set up. If this is the first shop being added to **emdecs one**, the list will be empty.

Click the **New Shop** button. This opens a blank form for you to fill in the shop's information:
