Release Notes for July 2026 EMDECS KONA Update

Sequence Description

1.

 Fixed an issue where if an estimate has been revised, when it is printed the disclaimer or other standard notes that should be printed on every estimate were not being included.
2. Added a system parameter so that, if a user scans a part with a camera to issue it, EMDECS will either honour a custom quantity (i.e., something other than 1) entered before the scan or revert to a quantity of 1. The default is to continue with the old behaviour of reverting to 1, but if you would like to use this feature please contact BrightOrder CX.
3. Standardized the appearance and functionality of 3Cs fields across the application.
4. Fixed an issue where a new Work Required view intended for only users with a new system parameter set was showing in the Unit Master for all users.
5. Made some optional cosmetic improvements to the Customer Invoice. Contact BrightOrder Support if you are interested in enabling the new layout. 
6. Made some optional cosmetic improvements to the Estimate invoice printout and added Invoice To information. Contact BrightOrder Support if you are interested in enabling the new layout.
7. Made a few optional  cosmetic improvements to the Quick Estimate invoice printout. Contact BrightOrder Support if you are interested in enabling the new layout.
8. The parts pick list printout’s WO Date field now reflects the user’s timezone.
9. Made optional cosmetic improvements to the Purchase Order printout. Contact BrightOrder Support if you are interested in enabling the new layout.
10. Fixed an issue where, in some circumstances, attempting to drill into More Details on an inactive unit in the Unit-at-a-Glance popup would cause an error.
11. Added a new tab to the Customer Access Portal, Invoices, which lets your customers see any outstanding invoices they have with you as well as amounts remaining on invoices that have been partly paid.
 12. Added a new security key, CanSeeOutstandingInvoice, to the Customer Access Portal, allowing administrators to show or hide the Outstanding Invoices tab based on user permissions.
