Text Message Notifications

How to set up text messages for on the spot notifications

Notification Setup

Text Notifications are an extremely helpful feature for shops to communicate with their employees. Whether you want an automatic text when a unit arrives or when an estimate has been approved, their are several options for these helpful messages.
To setup text notifications you'll want to go ADMINISTRATION > EMPLOYEE MANAGER. From here you'll need to follow several steps to set this up,
  1. Choose the employee you want getting notified
  2. Set a phone number under "phones", the first active number will be the one that receives notifications.
  3. Next go to the "Notifications" tab, and select which of the premade notifications you want the employee to receive. Only the active ones will be sent to the employee.
  4. Lastly for setup you'll want to make sure the proper locations are set, this is because the employee will only receives notifications relating to their set location.

What causes the notifications?

There are four preset notifications given to users. We're unable to add more, if a company wanted additional notifications this would be a feature request.

These notifications are universal, meaning anyone who receives text notifications would receive any that are sent out. These notifications go out when...

  1. RO is Unit Ready and ready for review: This notification goes out when a technician presses the "Unit Ready" button on a work order.
  2. A unit has arrived at your shop: This notification happens when a unit is checked into the service board. You'll only get notifications for this if the employee has the same location set that the unit arrives at.

  3. RO is awaiting for approval: This notification is started by invoicing out a repair order. When you click invoice the notification would get sent out to those with the same location.
  4. Estimate is awaiting approval: This happens when an estimate is made on a checked in vehicle, the same rule applies with location.
