Add a New Accounting Period for a New Year
This article explains how to add a new accounting year in EMDECS.
- Open the Financials menu and select Financial Manager.
- Click on the Accounting Periods link under the Things To Do list on the left-hand side, or click on the Accounting Periods tab at the bottom of the Financial Manager screen.
- Your current accounting years will be listed. To add the new year, click Add.
- Enter the year to be added and click Add again.
- The new accounting year will be added, and the accounting periods/months will be created automatically based on your prior year's accounting periods.
