Override by Equipment Shift can be used to set different Contract rates depending on the Shift set on the RO. This can be useful for Emergency Repair Calls and Overnight shifts.
To use Override by Equipment Shift, the following must be set first:
-Equipment Billing Types
-Labour Shifts
-Equipment Shifts
-Asset type (on Unit)
-Labour Contract
-Assign Labour Contract to Customer (if required)
Equipment Billing Types
Administration->Standard Codes-> Equipment (bottom) -> Billing Type (top)
Click on +Add to create a new Billing Type code
Toggle the Active flag if the code should no longer be used
Assigning Billing Types to Units
Fleet-> Unit Master->Select Unit-> Asset
Select a Billing Type from the drop-down menu. This is how EMDECS will identify which Override to apply. New Codes can also be created here.
Any deactivated codes will not show in the drop-down menu. If encountering errors when trying to create a new code, go to Administration->Standard Codes-> Equipment (bottom) -> Billing Type (top) and verify that the code does not exist.
Labour Shifts
Administration-> Standard Codes-> Customer (bottom) -> Labour Shifts (top)
Click on +Add to create a new Labour Shift code
Toggle the Active flag if the code should no longer be used
Equipment Shifts
Administration-> Customer-> Things to Do-> Manage Equipment Shifts
Click on +Add Equipment Shift to create a new type
To enter Rates, click on +Add Rate, choose the Shift Code and Equipment Billing Types, then enter the Hourly Rate for Labour.
Be sure the Effective Date is set correctly, then press Ok
Setting the Contract Override
Administration-> Standard Codes-> Customer (bottom)-> Labour Contract (top)
It's important to note that only the Default Labour Contract will apply to Customers.
To have it apply to a specific customer: Assign the Specific Labour Contract to the Customer under Administration-> Customer-> Select Customer-> Details tab
To change the Default Labour Contract: Change the specified default contract in system under Administration-> Standard Codes-> Customer (bottom)-> Labour Contract (top)
Choose either an existing Labour Contract or create a new one.

Select the Override by Equipment Shift tab, then +Add. A pop-up will appear allowing you to choose the location and shift type.
Alternatively, select +Add New/Manage to set a new Override.
Equipment Shifts and Shift Rates can both be created from this screen.
Assigning a Labour Contract to a Customer
Administration->Customer
Using the Override By Equipment Shift on an RO
Service-> Complete RO
If the Override is set correctly and all conditions are met, the new Labour rate will apply
If the Override conditions are not met, the Standard Labour amount will be charged.
IE: a different location
